About

Murder mysteries for your dinner table

Dinner Party Murders is a one-person British studio making original print-and-play murder mysteries — games designed for a real dinner table, mapped to the courses of a real dinner.

Every case is built to the same promises. It's genuinely solvable: every clue either implicates or exonerates, and nothing is a dead end. Everyone looks guilty at some point, because every character has a real motive and something they're desperate to hide — including the innocent ones. And the host is never a narrator sitting outside the story: you play a character too, and The Show — films, an original soundtrack, act timers, the vote and the reveal — does the hosting for you, from a browser tab.

Some artwork, music and film in the kits were produced with the help of AI tools, then written, directed, edited and assembled by hand. The story, characters, mystery and every word of every script are entirely original.

The Inspector works every case

Inspector Hart is deliberately a recurring character across the whole catalogue — brand furniture, not a one-game cameo. Nobody at the table plays him: he arrives on screen with new evidence, twice a night, and he'll keep arriving as the shelf grows. If you've hosted one of our cases, you already know his voice.
