Licence, refunds & privacy

Licence — what your purchase covers

Print it as many times as you like, for your own household.
Host the game as often as you like, with as many different groups of friends and family as you like.
Play it in your home, or at a private gathering you are hosting for people you know.
Photograph or film your own party and share it on social media, including tagging us. Please don't post photographs of the character booklets, the clue cards, or the solution — it spoils the game for the next person.

What the licence doesn't cover:

Reselling, re-licensing, sublicensing or giving away the kit or any part of it, in digital or printed form.
Sharing the files, the download link, or your access code with anyone outside your household — including uploading them to file-sharing sites, cloud drives, forums or messaging apps.
Commercial use. No ticketed events, no paid parties, no corporate or team-building events, no use in a bar, restaurant, hotel, venue, school or club where money changes hands or where it forms part of a paid service.
Altering, rebranding, translating or adapting it and presenting the result as your own work.
Reproducing the artwork, the character portraits, the music or the films outside the game. The soundtrack and the Inspector's films are licensed for use within the game only.

If you want to run a case as a paid or ticketed event, or use it commercially in a venue, get in touch — commercial licences are available and genuinely reasonably priced. Please just ask rather than doing it quietly.

Refunds

This is a DIGITAL product. Nothing is posted to you. You download it straight after purchase.

NOT RETURNABLE ONCE DOWNLOADED. By downloading you're asking for immediate delivery and giving up the 14-day right of withdrawal that normally applies to online orders. Please be sure before you buy. If you haven't downloaded yet and bought by mistake, message us and we'll cancel and refund in full. And if anything is faulty — broken, missing, won't open, not as described — message us and we'll fix it or refund you, whenever you notice.

Privacy

We collect as little as it's possible to collect while still selling you something.

Buying on Etsy: Etsy handles your order and payment under its own privacy policy. We see what Etsy shows every seller — your order and username — and use it only to deliver and support your purchase.
Email: we don't collect email addresses on this site. There is no mailing list and no signup form. If you message us about an order, we reply and that's the end of it.
This site sets no advertising trackers. The access-code gate stores your own code in your own browser so you don't have to retype it; it never leaves your machine.

To ask about, correct or delete anything we hold about you, message us and it's done. You also have the right to complain to the ICO, though we'd rather fix it first.

Terms of use

These terms exist so the work can keep being made, not to catch anyone out. This is a small independent studio — if you're unsure whether something is allowed, ask; the answer is usually yes. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer.
